United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet met today with officials with the Maduro regime during her first full day in the country, following her arrival in Venezuela yesterday.
Bachelet met with Minister of Defense Vladimir Padrino Lopez, Attorney General Tarek William Saab, Supreme Court Chief Maikel Moreno, and Minister of the Interior Nestor Reverol.
During the meeting, regime officials asked Bachelet to use her office to pressure the United States to lift the “blockade” that they claim the country has on Venezuela.

Bachelet is scheduled to meet tomorrow with representatives from the Venezuelan opposition, including Juan Guaido, before concluding her trip to the country.
