Maduro is currently in Ecuador on the closing day of a UNSAUR meeting.
The organization made it known today that it had agreed to the concept of creating a common nationality to unify all UNASUR countries, similar to arrangements between European countries that belong to the Eurozone. Ernesto Samper, the secretary general of UNASUR, said that the goal of the common citizenship would be to allow the free movement of people between the bloc’s twelve countries:
Guaranteeing the free movement of 400 million South Americans in the region, their right to work, the equivalence of university titles and judicial protection is my dream.
Eekhout: Maduro “Not Alone”
The vice-president of Social Movements, Blanca Eekhout, spoke at an event in Miranda state today in which she voiced her support for Maduro:
We have to send greetings to our President Nicolas Maduro, his people are here, a people united alongside him (…) And when we raise our voices in support of Maduro, we have to make sure the gringo Empire hears us because they think that Maduro is alone. We never leave one of our own alone; we are one people, and we are loyal!

So far this year, Venezuelans have purchased 18,433 new vehicles, while at the same time last year 95,919 cars had been purchased.
CAVENEZ partially blamed decreased production in Venezuelan automotive assembly factories, saying that the country’s seven vehicle plants have produced 78.54% fewer cars this year than last (15,012 vs. 69,966 in 2013).
